You can hike for miles right from the property. The trails are endless and are a network that allows you to visit incredibly scenic vistas all around the mountains surrounding the home. The trail network is part of the old Phoenix town and mining operation, combined with past logging roads and trails. The old railbed, rails removed makes for incredible hiking, mountain biking and cross country skiing.
As you can well imagine the trail system is miles and miles and is excellent for quads and dirt bikes, mountain bikes and is used by literally no one. In the last decade of hiking I have came across only 1 other person in the entire time and I have hiked almost every day in every direction. I never encounter anyone, it’s like having my own wilderness network of trails. Fascinating really. You can take the old trails right to Greenwood, or stop at the old town site of Phoenix, go to Marshall Lake, groomed cross country trails exist there, all right from the house. Never on a road if you prefer.
These are a few of the fall scenery vistas you can experience.
